Rowe Hannon &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 July 20, 1996 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Rowe D. Hannon of Myers Street, Forty Fort, died Saturday at the
Wilkes-Barre &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 General HospitalBorn in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Daniel and
Emma Rowe Hannon. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He graduated from Coughlin High School and Wyoming Seminary Business
School, Kingston, and was a well known football player and wrestler. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and served in New Zealand,
Australia and three years in India, and as a Chief Master Sergeant in the
China, Burma, India Theater. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was one of the pioneer owners of stock car racing cars and was
instrumental in establishing Bone Stadium, which became an active racing club
in the area, and was a resident of Myers Street, Forty Fort, since 1956. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Before retiring in 1982, he was employed as a Certified Public Accountant
for 40 years by Nabisco Brand Inc., Hanover Township, and previously Planters
Peanuts Corp., Wilkes-Barre. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was a member of the Memorial Presbyterian Church, Wilkes-Barre, and
attended Forty Fort United Methodist Church. He was an associate member of the
Fraternal Order of Police, Wyoming Valley Lodge 36. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He and his wife, the former Miriam Housley, would have celebrated their
44th wedding anniversary on Aug. 9. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was preceded in death by his sister, Mrs. Christine Hughes, on Feb. 15,
1995. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Mrs. Faith L. Court,
Kingston; two grandsons. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday from the Hugh B. Hughes &amp; Son,
Inc., Funeral Home, 1044 Wyoming Ave., Forty Fort, with the Rev. Dr. William
D. Lewis, pastor of the Forty Fort United Methodist Church, officiating. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, Hanover Township. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Saint John, 665 Carey
Ave., Wilkes-Barre 18704. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
