 July 21, 1996 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Anthony Kernitski, 85, of Union Street, Inkerman, Jenkins Township, died &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Sunday at homeBorn Feb. 21, 1911 in Jenkins Township, he was the son of the
late Joseph and Eva Shatinsky. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He attended Jenkins Township schools. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Before retiring he was employed by Interstate Brands, Kingston, and was a
member of St. Casimir's Church, Pittston. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Emily Gilvickas, on Aug.
28, 1992; a son, Joseph, in 1989; sisters, Anna Saluski and Evelyn Kearney. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving are a son, William, Lancaster, Calif.; a daughter, Marion
Zimmerman, Madiera, Ohio; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a
brother, Joseph, Harding, Exeter Township; sisters, Mary Lavix, Toms River,
N.J.; Celestine Liedke, Union, N.J.; nieces and nephews. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday from the Kizis-Lokuta Funeral
Home, 134 Church St., Pittston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m.
in St. Casimir's Church, Pittston. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton, Kingston Township. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
