Frank Tonart &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 July 24, 1996 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Frank J. Tonart of Custer Street, Wilkes-Barre, died Wednesday in
Wilkes-Barre &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 General HospitalA lifelong resident of Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the
late Frank and Catherine Tonart. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He graduated from James M. Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre, in 1933, and
Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor's degree in education. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He worked for 33 years as a teacher at the West Side Vocational-Technical
Institute, and was a member of Holy Rosary Church, Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Irene Sisco, on Aug. 11,
1993. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving are sons, Frank Jr., Dallas; Edward, Forty Fort; six
grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Helen Ras and Mrs.
Josephine Kemmerer, both of Wilkes-Barre; Mrs. Catherine Gula, Swoyersville;
nieces and nephews. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday from the Jendrzejewski Funeral
Home, 21 N. Meade St., Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30
a.m. in Holy Rosary Church. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Interment will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Courtdale. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The Lay Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary will recite the rosary at
8:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
