Julia Karavitch &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 July 24, 1996 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Julia B. Karavitch, 84, of Clark Street, Hilldale, Plains Township, died &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Wednesday at homeBorn in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, she was the daughter of
the late Michael and Anna Savitska Yankowski. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She resided in Plains Township most of her life, and worked as a domestic
housekeeper for more than 35 years before retiring. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was a member of St. Joseph Church, Hudson, Plains Township, and its
choir and Confraternity of Christian Mothers, and the Plains Senior Citizens
Organization. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was preceded in death by her husband, William S., on Aug. 19, 1967;
sisters, Sophie and Stella Gazdowicz; Anna Zaniewski. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Metro (Anastasia) Stucko, Long Island, N.Y.;
sons, Vincent M., Marietta, Ga.; Stephen J., Hilldale; sisters, Jennie Holby,
Hilldale; Eve Greskiewicz, Plains Township; brothers, Alex and Edward
Yankowski, both of Plains Township; five grandchildren; two
step-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday from the Mark V. Yanaitis
Funeral Home, 55 Stark St., Plains Township, with a funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m.
in St. Joseph Church. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Hudson. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Members of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers will recite the rosary at
2 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Victor Zawadzki, her pastor, officiating. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
