 July 26, 1996 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Helen Barbara Rother, 89, of Deptford, N.J., died Friday at Underwood
Memorial &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Hospital, Woodbury, N.JBorn in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the
late Jacob Laux and Lena Schmidt. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was a homemaker, and lived in Shavertown before she moved to New Jersey
17 years ago. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was a member of St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church, Shavertown, and of
its Catholic Daughters. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph P.; a son, Joseph P. Jr. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving are a son, Robert F., Colonial Beach, Va.; a daughter, Marilyn R.
Heck, Deptford, N.J.; a brother, Robert Laux, Dallas; 15 grandchildren; 24
great-grandchildren. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 A funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. in St. Theresa's Church, Shavertown. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Interment will be in St. Nicholas Cemetery, Wilkes-Barre. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Theresa's Church,
Shavertown. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Arrangements are by the John H. Norton Funeral Home, 1232 S. Black Horse
Pike, Williamstown, N.J. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
