Andrew Hontz &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Aug. 6, 1996 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Andrew D. Hontz, 73, of Lake Silkworth, Lehman Township, died Tuesday in
the &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Wilkes-BarreBorn Dec. 19,
1921, in Ross Township, he was the son of the late Dana and Susan Trescott
Hontz. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He resided in Lake Silkworth for the past 13 years, and served with the
U.S. Army Air Corps, 493rd Bomb Squadron, during World War II. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He worked as a coal miner at the Glen Alden Coal Co. for eight years, and
was employed as a dispatcher for Goodhart &amp; Sons, Lancaster County, for 10
years before retiring in 1983. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Stella Duel, in
1977. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving are his wife of 19 years, the former Eleanor Moore; daughters,
Carol Fulton, Lancaster; Andrea Shaub, Willow Street; stepsons, Daniel
Chapman, Waterloo, N.Y.; Ernest Chapman, Luzerne; stepdaughters, Sharra
Strubble, Reflection Lakes, N.J.; Eleanor Edwards, Lake Silkworth; sisters,
Nora Vitz, Nanticoke; Eula Mitchell, Hanover Village; 25 grandchildren; three
great-grandchildren. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday from the Curtis L. Swanson
Funeral Home Inc., corner of routes 28 and 118, Pikes Creek, with the Rev.
Paul Bowman, Dallas, officiating. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Interment will be in Conestoga Memorial Park, Lancaster. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
