 The Hanover Area class of 1976 will hold its 20th class reunion on

 Garbage sticker inspection underway &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Hanover Township officials will be canvassing the area to confirm that all
residents have a current garbage sticker for the second half of the year. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Stickers are now in the penalty stage and cost $90. Non-collection
registration stickers are $2 for residents who use a private hauler. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Stickers may be purchased between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday
at the Municipal Building. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Residents who do not comply with be issued a citation. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

 Firefighters to sell raffle tickets this week &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The firefighters of Goodwill Hose Company #2, Plymouth, will be canvassing
the area today and Wednesday to sell advance raffle tickets. The raffle will
be held at their annual bazaar which will begin on Thursday, Aug. 15. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

 Lions will meet tonight &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The Wyoming-West Wyoming Lions Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. tonight at

 The registration is for new students only. Any student who attended an
elementary school in the Wilkes-Barre Area School District last year should

 Meyers band uniforms will be fitted this week &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The Meyers High School marching band will be fitted for uniforms between 9
a.m. and 12:30 p.m. this Wednesday through Friday. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Band practice will begin the week of Monday, Aug. 12. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

 The board of directors of the Plymouth Historical Society will gather at 7

 The Society is still in need of a television set, video cassette recorder
and a new computer system. Anyone who would like to donate any of these items

 Plans will be discussed for the upcoming pastie sale, fall book sale, craft
show and bus trip. The annual fall membership will also begin in September. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

 Free baseball game for Borough youths &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Avoca Borough Police Department in conjunction with the Borough Council and
Mayor James L. Haddock are sponsoring a free trip to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton
Red Barons and Columbus Clippers game Friday at the Lackawanna County Stadium.
The event is open to Borough youths ages 8-13. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Game time is 7:30 p.m. The bus will leave at 6:30 p.m. from the Mercy Med
Care (former Acme) parking lot -ticket holders should be at the bus at 6. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Limited tickets will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis
between 6 and 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Borough Building. Parents must accompany
their children when picking up the tickets. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

 JCC to host &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Mini-Hostels Aug. 7 and 14 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The Jewish Community Center, Scranton, will host a two-day symposium on the
Anthracite Industry, it's demise and it's future, as part of the annual summer
Mini-Hostel program. The event will be held this Wednesday and Wednesday, Aug.
14 at the Daleville Campsite. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 On Wednesday, main speakers will be Professor Thomas Dublin of the History
Department at SUNY Binghamton and Chester Kulesa, curator and director of the
Anthracite Mine Complex. Then on Aug. 14, William Gustaphson, historian at the
Ashland Museum of Anthracite Mining will speak. A panel discussion in the
afternoon will round out the symposium. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The Campsite is located on Rt. 502. Cost is $3 for the day, which includes
an exercise period and an opportunity to swim. A hot lunch will also be served
between sessions. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
