William Bell &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Aug. 6, 1996 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; William B. Bell, 93, of Lincoln Drive, Shavertown, Kingston Township, died &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Tuesday in Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Wilkes-BarreBorn
in Jamestown, N.Y., he was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He
served for 27 years in the U.S. Army and three years in the U.S. Air Force. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He worked as a carpenter for 17 years at the Ruckno Construction Co., Forty
Fort. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was a member of the American Legion Post 672, Dallas, where he served as
sergeant-at-arms emeritus and was a former vice commander. He was also a
member of the Dallas Senior Citizens and Dallas United Methodist Church. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Anna Tkacik; second
wife, the former Gertrude Armitage. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving are daughters, Mary Simons Lucas, Exeter; Susan Ryder Jordan,
Dallas; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and
nephews. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday from the Harold C. Snowdon
Funeral Home, 140 N. Main St., Shavertown, with the Rev. Michael A. Bealla,
pastor of Dallas United Methodist Church, officiating. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Interment will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Members of the American Legion Post 672, Dallas, will conduct services at
7:30 p.m. today. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Post 672,
Memorial Highway, Dallas, 18612, or the charity of the donor's choice. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
