William McGuigan &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Aug. 12, 1996 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; William Thomas McGuigan, 70, of Laurel, Md., died Monday in the Howard
County &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 General Hospital, Columbia, MdBorn March 24, 1926, in Wilkes-Barre, he was
the son of the late John J. and Rosemary Fagan McGuigan. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He graduated from King's College, Wilkes-Barre, in 1950, and was formerly
employed by the U.S. Government as a personnel director before retiring in
1979. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He resided in Laurel for 30 years, and coached football at Pallotti High
School from 1975 to the present. He also coached football at Laurel Boys and
Girls Club. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was a member of St. Mary of the Mills Catholic Church and the Knights of
Columbus in Laurel. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was preceded in death by a son, Michael, in 1976. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth M.; a daughter, Patricia M. Kenney, State
College; sons, William M., Elkridge, Md.; Mark, Baltimore, Md.; five
grandchildren. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Mary of the Mills
Catholic Church, St. Mary's Place, Laurel, with the Rev. Joseph Stankavage,
officiating. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Silver Spring, Md. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Prayer services will be at 7:30 p.m. today. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association,
Howard County Division, 839-E Quince Orchard Boulevard, Gaithersburg, Md.
