Suit alleges bad reaction to food &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 A restaurant owner claims the lawsuit misstates factWILKES-BARRE -- A city
woman alleging an allergic reaction to food is suing the Peking Chef
restaurant in the Wyoming Valley Mall for more than $120,000, according to a
civil suit filed Tuesday in Luzerne County court. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Arlene Cook of East Main Street, Wilkes-Barre, claims that on July 8 she
ordered a beef dish at the Peking Chef restaurant at the mall. In her
complaint, she said she had told the server she was allergic to seafood. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Cook said that when she started eating, she discovered the meal contained
seafood. She developed difficulty in breathing and swallowing and requested an
ambulance, according to the suit. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The complaint goes on to say that Peking Chef owner Eric Lee refused to
call an ambulance and would not allow those accompanying Cook to do so. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Lee denies refusing to help Cook and said her dinner companions told him
she was fine and he should not worry about her. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 "I talked to her before she left and she was completely fine. People can
sue anyone without any good reason and that is what is going on here," Lee
said. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Cook is suing for more than $30,000 on counts of negligence, breach of
contract, intentional infliction of emotional distress and negligent
infliction of emotional distress. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Cook was not available for comment Thursday. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
