Helen Macuski &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 August 23, 1996 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Helen Macuski of Main Street, Mocanaqua, died Friday at the Berwick
HospitalBorn Oct. 7, 1908 in Dunmore, she was the daughter of the late John
and Anna Stanko Koval. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She attended the Berwick schools and lived most of her life in Shickshinny,
residing the past five years in Mocanaqua. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Before retiring several years ago, she was employed by the Luzerne
Outerwear Co., and Martin's Silk Mill in Shickshinny. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was a member of St. Mary's Church, Mocanaqua, and its Altar and Rosary
Society. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph F., on June 18, 1956; a
daughter, Mrs. Irene Truchon, on Nov. 24, 1980; sisters, Mrs. Ann Edwards;
Mrs. June Osborne; a brother, John Koval Jr. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Peter (Virginia) Ottavian, with whom she
resided, and Mrs. Anthony (Caroline) Stancavage, Shickshinny; four grandsons;
five great-grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Mary Mauceri, Long Island, N.Y.; Mrs.
Sue Mucuski, Berwick. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Monday from the George A. Strish Funeral
Home, 38 N. Main St., Shickshinny, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 in
St. Mary Church, Mocanaqua. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Mocanaqua. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today, with a rosary service
this afternoon, with the Rev. Carl Prushinski, officiating. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
