WILKES-BARRE -- Three bodies. Three suspicious deaths. One district
attorney's office spread mighty thin. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Luzerne County District Attorney Peter Paul Olszewski Jr. cannot remember
the last time his office was either investigating or assisting in the
investigation of three suspicious deaths simultaneously. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; "It was a relatively quiet 1996," Olszewski said Monday. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 But that was before August arrived. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 On Aug. 10, 38-year-old Deborah Gorski was found dead in her Hazle Township
home by her husband, Dr. Eugene Gorski. Police were not notified of the death
until 24 hours after her body was found. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Since then, investigators have learned Dr. Gorski prescribed an
anti-anxiety medication, with which his wife apparently overdosed. An empty
bottle of the medication was found in Gorski's home. State police in West
Hazleton are still trying to determine whether Deborah Gorski's death was a
homicide or a suicide. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 On Aug. 14, the severely decomposed body of Keith Polerecki, 31, of
Pittston, was found near the Coxton Yards area in Duryea. An autopsy revealed
that Polerecki had multiple broken ribs. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Duryea police and a detective from the district attorney's office are
trying to determine how the body ended up where it did -- and how his ribs
were broken. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 On Aug. 19, parts of another decomposed body were found in a sewage
treatment plant at the Wyoming Valley Sanitary Authority plant in Hanover
Township. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 State police are still trying to find the body's missing leg and determine
the individual's identity. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 "I can't remember a time when we've had three at one time like this,"
Olszewski said. "You don't see leaps and bounds in the investigations. You
just have to be patient." &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Olszewski said there is no connection in the cases. It has just been an
unfortunate and busy summer for identifying bodies and figuring out the causes
of death, he said. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 "I think it's just a coincidence at this point," Olszewski said. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
