KINGSTON -- The Wyoming Valley West boys and girls water polo teams picked
up victories against Pottsville on Thursday. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The boys won 22-10 and the girls posted a 12-4 victory. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; For the Spartan boys team, Brett Liese scored five goals, Joe Capitan
scored four, Brian Monico scored three and Ryan Wright scored two plus a
two-point goal. Other scorers were Shawn Blaker, Steve Fice, Jeff Church, Jim
Roberts, Matt O'Connor and Jeff Feist. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Monico had a team-high five assists and four steals. Britt Jones made nine
saves and Rob Panowicz had two. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 For the Spartan girls, Melanie Tomasak scored three times and had two
steals. Sarah Lipiski, Lynnelle Welch and Stacey Rosick all had two goals.
Erin Flynn, Beth Chernyl and Maria Mazzillo had one goal each. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Michelle Goff had nine saves for the Spartans, and Lindsay Chesterfield had
four. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
