Knights of Columbus cares about share campaign &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The recent Care-N-Share Campaign of the Assumpta Council 3987 of The
Knights of Columbus, Luzerne, was recently held to benefit the Al Beech/West
Side Food &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Pantry, Kingston. Shown, first row, from left, are volunteers, who worked

 Recently, students of the Wilkes University Fields of Social Work class
were presented with the `Straight Up' program. The program, which is sponsored
by the Luzerne County Correctional Facility, has inmates speak to local
schools to inform students on how drugs have affected their lives, convictions
and how incarceration affects their day-to-day activities. Shown, from left,

 Angley winner of 1996 Youth Exhibition &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The 1996 Youth Talent Exhibition awarded the second-place prize to Wyoming
Area junior Tila Paris Angley. Angley performed an acapella song with
excellence, and has been invited to perform at the River Street Jazz Cafe's

 Talent Exhibition winners annouced &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The 1996 Youth Talent Exhibition awarded the `Best of Show' prize to
Wyoming Valley West junior Kylea Liese for her dramatic dialogue from `The
Quilt.' First place was awarded to Bishop Hoban junior Robert Sobotka for his
excellence in flute performance. Both performers have been invited to perform
with the Reggie Brown Review. Major prizes were donated by Boscov's Department
Stores for the 1996 Youth Talent Exhibition sponsored by Family Action
Network, Children's Service Center and other community partners. The Talent
Exhibition was held Oct. 29 at the Dorothy Dickson Darte Center, Wilkes

 Hospice St. John observes memorial service &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Hospice Saint John, as part of National Hospice Month, recently hosted a
special memorial observance for family and friends of hospice patients from
the greater Wilkes-Barre area who died in the past year. The non-sectarian
memorial services were held at the Eastern Pennsylvania Lutheran Camp at Bear
Creek and featured participants from different faiths. Music was provided by
