 Januray 4, 1997 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Amelia Cherko, 77, of Lattimer Mines, and formerly of North Laurel Street, &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Hazleton, died Saturday at her homeBorn in Hazleton, she was the daughter
of the late Frank and Anella Cusatis Marion. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Church, Hazleton. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert in 1993, and sisters, Anna
Colangelo and Rose Laurenzi. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Earl C. (Jacqueline) Berger, with whom she
resided in Lattimer Mines; Mrs. Paul (Elaine) Szymczak, Hazleton; Mrs. Partick
(Arleen) Crawford, Virginia Beach, Va.; seven grandchildren; one
great-grandson; a brother, Frank Marion, Hazleton; sisters, Mrs. Carmen
(Elizabeth) Milora, Hialeah, Fla.; Mrs. Jean Blass, Mellonsville; Mrs,.
Stanley Dolores Czekaj, Whiting, N.J.; and several nieces and nephews. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday from the Joseph A. Moran Funeral
Home, 229 W. 12th St., Hazleton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m.
in Our Lady of Grace Church, Hazleton. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Interment will be in the parish cemetery. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
