Dorothy Schutter &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Dec. 30, 1996 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Dorothy Schutter, 96, formerly of Hazleton and a guest at Fritzingertown &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Senior Living Community in Butler Township, died Dec. 30 at the
Hazleton-StJoseph Medical Center in Hazleton. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Born in Wattsburg, Erie County, she was the daughter of the late Clarence
and Minnie (Fritts) Marsh. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She graduated from Wattsburgh High School in 1918 and from Folts Mission
Institute, Herkimer, N.Y., in 1926 and was an enrolled home missionary under
the women's division of the Methodist Church. For 10 years she taught
kindergarten at the Methodist Deaconess Home and Settlement House in Buffalo,
N.Y. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She came to Hazleton in 1938 and for 12 years taught kindergarten at the
Blodgett Community House. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was a member of the Tressler Bible Class, St. Paul's United Methodist
Church, Hazleton, the parish Women's Society and choir, the Hazleton General
Hospital Auxiliary and past matron and a member of Chapter 248 Order of
Eastern Star, Hazleton. She also served as pianist at St. Paul's. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband,
Charles, in 1992; a sister, Clara Marsh; and a half-sister, Mabel Hill
Johnson. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving are a step-daughter, Mrs. Michael (Nancy) Bachik, Bethlehem;
nieces and nephews. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Funeral services were to be held from the Rosenstock Funeral Home,
Hazleton, followed by interment in the Vine Street Cemetery, Hazleton. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's United Methodist Church,
133 West Green St., Hazleton, PA 18201. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
