George Yuhas &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 January 3, 1997 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; George B. Yuhas, of Mulberry Street, Scranton, died Friday at the Moses
Taylor &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Hospital, ScrantonBorn in Duryea, he was the son of the late George and
Anna Stefanko Yuhas. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He graduated from Duryea High School and earned a master's degree from the
former St. Thomas College, Scranton. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He served with the 33rd Division of the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945. While
serving with the Army, he was stationed in Korea. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a teacher at Dupont High
School. Later, he worked in the state welfare department. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was a life member of V.F.W. Post 1227, Duryea. He also was a member of
St. Ann's Basilica Church, West Scranton, and the Disabled American Veterans. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was preceded in death by a brother, John, and a sister, Anna Resavy. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving are his fiancee, Veronica Mazaleski; a son, George Jr., Harveys
Lake; brothers, Joseph and Stephen, both of Duryea; sisters, Mary Parzych, a
guest of Adams Manor, Scranton; Margaret Baker, Mountaintop; Theresa
Rickwalder, Mesa, Ariz.; two grandsons; and several nieces and nephews. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday from the John J. Chipak
Funeral Home, 343 Madison Ave., Scranton, with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. St.
Ann's Basilica Church, West Scranton. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Duryea. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
