 Dec. 28, 1996 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Michael Erla, 86, of Hazleton, died Dec. 28 at Mountain City Convalescent
and &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Rehabilitation Center in Hazleton, where he had been a guestBorn in
Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Martin and Elizabeth (Swantek) Erla. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was an Army veteran of World War II and worked at Otis Elevator Co.
until his retirement. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were brothers, Andrew
and Francis, and sisters, Mary Stadnick and Anna Erla. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving are a brother, John, Roselle, N.J.; nieces and nephews. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Funeral services were to be held from the Frank J. Bonin Funeral Home,
Hazleton, followed by interment in St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church
Cemetery, Hazleton. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
