 January 4, 1997 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Mary A. Sleboda, of Thistle Street, Pittston, died Saturday at the
Geisinger &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains TownshipBorn in Pittston, she was the
daughter of the late Frank and Frances Chandy Waschek. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She attended Pittston schools. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Pittston, the
Conferturnity Conference of Christian Mothers, and the Ladies Slovak Union. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew in 1990; a daughter,
Martha Wroblewski; and a brother, Stanley Waschek. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving are sons, Andrew, Pittston; John, Hamburg; six grandchildren;
brothers, Adolph, Trenton, N.J.; John, Florida; Joseph, Union, N.J.; and
several nieces and nephews. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday from the Bernard J. Piontek
Funeral Home Inc., 204 Main St., Duryea, with a Mass of Christian Burial at
9:30 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Church, Pittston. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Exeter. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
