 Who is the person at Dallas Area Municipal Authority who broke the
tradition of allowing people to put extra garbage bags out after Christmas,
and then made a bad decision worse by not publicizing that decision? (It)
leaves us stuck with all this extra garbageEditor's note: The Back Mountain
has a two-bag limit for trash. The original contract of 1991 allowed residents
to put out extra garbage on Christmas week. But the new contract in 1995
lowered the annual garbage fee from $135 to $112 and eliminated the unlimited
garbage bag pickup for Christmas week. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; I am calling about the free skate that was up in Wilkes-Barre on Saturday
and Sunday of last week (Dec. 28-29). Everybody I know and talked to took it
for granted it was free skates for all kids. Well, we went up there and we are
not from Wilkes-Barre, and we owned up to not being from Wilkes-Barre, and we
paid $5 a child to skate. If I wanted to pay $5 a child with four kids, I
would have went on a day when it wasn't a free skate for just the residents of
Wilkes-Barre. We shop in Wilkes-Barre, my daughter works in Wilkes-Barre, and
I think we should have been entitled to a free skate along with every other
kid that was there getting free skates. The mayor only made himself look like
a fool to other people that are not residents of Wilkes-Barre. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Editor's note: Taxpayers of Wilkes-Barre pay for the Ice-A-Rama, therefore
only residents were entitled to the free skates, said Shannon McNulty,
spokeswoman for Mayor Tom McGroarty. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Today, in trying to contact my bank, I had the pleasure of being connected
with ... nine taped voices. The final taped voice said please wait for an
operator.... I sat there waiting for another five minutes. All because some
greedy banker doesn't want to pay some poor soul minimum wage to answer the
phone directly. Wonderful! &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 I think it's wonderful, it's wonderful, that you are backing Joann Curley.
Isn't that the greatest. You bad people. You don't like the DA. Hey, she was
making a lot of iced tea, but you won't print it. You will never print it.
That makes me wonder about your paper.. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Yes, SaySo, your SaySo, your SaySo, is the biggest joke of all. Because I
called in, I gave messages, and it was on Joann Curley, and you reversed it. I
mean, you're just a big joke, and I'm going to discontinue my paper. Forget
it. You are not for real. Let me tell you, I cannot stand it. I will never buy
your paper again, because you are not truthfully putting things in the paper.
Get out of here, get going, and then with those people, that talk the way they
do. I don't think they talk that way. I think they're talking that way to make
you think they don't know what they're talking about. Goodbye, get going, I am
