Athlete of the week &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 If somebody was going to break the Seton Catholic record for 3-point
baskets in a game, Kelly Tracy was the logical choice. After all, perimeter
shooting is her forteTracy proved that last Saturday as she connected on 10 of
12 3-point attempts and scored a career-high 40 points in Seton's 94-25
victory over West Side Tech. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; For her outstanding performance, Tracy was selected The Times Leader
Athlete of the Week for the period ending Sunday, Jan. 5. The selection was
made by The Times Leader sports staff. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 "Once she hits the first one, she's usually good for the game," Seton coach
Kathy Healey said. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Tracy averaged 32.5 in two games last week as the Eagles continued unbeaten
in Division III. Prior to scoring 40 against Tech, Tracy netted 25 as Seton
defeated Bishop O'Reilly 67-45 to open up a two-game lead in the division. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Tracy, who led the Wyoming Valley Conference last season with 42
3-pointers, has become more than a long-range bomber. The 5-foot-10 junior has
also been able to work inside. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 "Kelly has learned to post up," Healey said of her three-year starter. "If
she takes a girl inside, it makes it easier for her to get free outside
because they forget about her." &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Tracy was averaging 20 points entering Thursday's game with Wyoming
Seminary, second to teammate Laine Sheerer's 28.3. Tracy is the Eagles' top
free-throw shooter, hitting 70 percent. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Other nominees were: &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Northwest's Jason Correll scored a career-high 29 points, including five
3-pointers, as the Rangers took a big step toward first-half honors in the
Wyoming Valley Conference's Division III with a 60-57 victory over Bishop
O'Reilly. Correll made five of six free throws in the closing minutes to
secure the win. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 -- Wyoming Valley West diver John Fronzoni, who scored a Wyoming Valley
Conference high of 215.15 points in the Spartans' 113-68 victory over Valley
View. Fronzoni is the defending District 2 Class AAA diving champion. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Wyoming Seminary's Harley Chivers won the 200-yard freestyle in a meet
against Abington Heights, turning in what was the best time to date in the
Wyoming Valley Conference. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Coughlin's Chin Orih remained undefeated on the season by winning the
130-pound weight class at the Holiday Wrestling Tournament in Selinsgrove.
Orih pinned all three opponents to capture the title. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
