before the fact, not after as is so often the case. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

wrenching experience for anyone, but this instance was especially ruthless
since it occurred by way of a pink slip five days before Christmas. And then
we wonder whatever happened to the idea of worker loyalty. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
