College Misericordia's John McGovern, Staci Hughes and Jeanette Manorek
were selected to the Holiday Inn/ECAC South Division III Honor Roll for
basketball for the week ending SundayMcGovern, a senior forward from
Philadelphia, was named to the mens honor roll after he scored 17 points and
had nine rebounds and four assists in the Cougars' 73-52 rout of
Gwynedd-Mercy. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Hughes, a senior forward from Moosic, scored 44 points and grabbed 23
rebounds in two games at the Patient Care/Lady Monarch Invitational at King's
College. Manorek, a freshman forward from Shavertown, Kingston Township,
scored 22 points and had 14 rebounds in the invitational as well. Hughes and
Manorek were selected to the all-tournament team. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The King's College womens basketball team will begin its most difficult
stretch of the season tonight when King's travels to meet 1996 NCAA national
tournament qualifier Allentown College. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The game with Allentown (9-1) begins a challenging week, which has King's
meeting cross-town rival Wilkes University Thursday, defending Middle Atlantic
Conference champion University of Scranton Saturday, and current MAC Freedom
League first-place Lycoming College on Wednesday, Jan. 22. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 King's (8-2) is coming off its championship in the Patient Care/Lady
Monarch invitational. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Registrations are still being accepted for the College Misericordia
baseball team's youth clinics, which will be held Saturday, Jan. 25 and
Sunday, Jan. 26, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Anderson Center. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The sessions are open to boys from 8 to 14 years old and will feature a
hitting clinic on Saturday and a defensive clinic on Sunday. Cost is $25 a
clinic or $45 for both. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The instructional staff includes Chuck Edkins, Misericordia head baseball
coach; Kevin Sponzo, Misericordia assistant baseball coach; and Dr. Michael
Mould, Misericordia athletic director. To register or obtain information,
