Rose Howells &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 January 12, 1997 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Rose A. Howells, 96, formerly of Dallas, died Sunday at the Little Flower &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Manor, Wilkes-BarreBorn August 21, 1900, in Wilkes-Barre, she was the
daughter of the late Michael and Mary Fahey Ryan. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 In 1917, she played the piano for silent movies at the Sterling Theater,
Wilkes-Barre. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the former Natona
Mills, Dallas. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was a member of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church,
Wilkes-Barre. She was a former member of the Gate of Heaven Church, Dallas. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold J.; a daughter, Betty
Vivian; and 12 brothers and sisters. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving are a daughter, Rosemond Wagner, Wilkes-Barre; five
grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday from the McLaughlin Funeral
Service, 142 S. Washington St., Wilkes-Barre, with a Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m.
in St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church, Wilkes-Barre. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
