WRIGHT TWP. -- Residents and board members argued with each other about
solutions for the Crestwood High School's dilapidated roof during a two-hour
work session Tuesday night. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Donald Pry, 54, of Mountaintop, was concerned about additional roof
problems. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; "Is this roof going to fall in and hurt someone?" Pry asked. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Dr. Gordon Snow, superintendent of the Crestwood Area School District, said
the roof is structurally safe. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 School was canceled Thursday and Friday because of the 16-year-old leaky
roof, which has had problems for several years, Snow said. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Snow said temporary roof reconstruction, custodial wages and ceiling panels
has cost the district more than $16,000. He said Dunmore Roofing, which is
performing the repairs, told him additional repairs are estimated at $2,000. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 "I'm worried about the roof coming in," Pry said after the meeting. "I'm
worried about the kids." &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Two architectural firms offered proposals of tests they would do to aid in
roof reconstruction. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Joseph Radel, president of S.D.A. Associates, proposed surveying the
120,000-square-foot roof for $2,800. Radel said the study includes roof
evaluation, design plans and several tests, including an asbestos test. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Andy Kitsinger, a representative of Buchart-Horn Basco Associates, also
proposed a roof feasibility study for about $10,400. Basco will do an
evaluation, design blueprints for a contractor and monitor their workmanship. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Snow said the two firms might work together or independently. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The work session was followed by a special meeting wherein board president
Emilia Kramer asked Basco to submit reports in time for the board's Feb. 13
regular meeting. Radel left the meeting after his presentation. Snow said he
will continue communications with S.D.A. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Board members Thomas Ford, David Smith, Eric Aigeldinger, and John
Williams, were absent from the meeting. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
