 January 21, 1997 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Pearl R. Gross, 88, of Sweet Valley, died Tuesday at the Wilkes-Barre
General &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 HospitalBorn Nov. 13, 1908 in Ricketts, she was the daughter of the late
Edward and Stina Speary Eckhart. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She resided in Sweet Valley for the last 65 years and was a member of the
Sweet Valley Community Bible Church. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was preceded in death by a brother, Glenn Eckhart; sisters, Madge and
Freda Eckhart. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving are her husband of 65 years, George Gross; sons, Donald, Sweet
Valley; Glenn, Emlenton; Robert, Canandaigua, N.Y.; a daughter, Nancy
Sabaluski, Sweet Valley; a brother, Harold Eckhart, Buffalo, N.Y.; a sister,
Carolyn Kurfees, Annapolis, Md.; seven grandchildren; five
great-grandchildren. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday from the Curtis L. Swanson
Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with the Rev.
Raymond D. Purdy Jr., pastor of the Sweet Valley Community Bible Church,
officiating. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Interment will be in Mossville Cemetery, Fairmount Township. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Memorial donations may be made to the Sweet Valley Community Bible Church,
