 The first year of the four-year Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 (AFROTC) academic program will be offered during the spring semester at &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Luzerne County Community College, Nanticoke. Students will earn two credits
towards any degree with LCCC, or any of the other 13 colleges and universities
in Northeastern Pennsylvania for which AFROTC Detachment 752 has "Cross-Town
Agreements" with. The academic portion of the course is an introduction to the
background, mission, and function of the U.S. Air Force. The course will be
offered at LCCC's Kingston location at the Chester Street Elementary School
from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday evenings, starting Jan. 28. For more

Tunkhannock, from 9:30 a.m. to noon Tuesday to help individuals with problems

will be held at noon Feb. 17 at the Mark II Family Restaurant, Route 309 and
Blackman St., Wilkes-Barre. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Parsons VFW post to meet Tuesday &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The next regular meeting for the Parsons Memorial Post 6227, Veterans of
Foreign Wars will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the post's home, 804 Scott St.,
Parsons, Wilkes-Barre, with Commander Alfred Fabie presiding. Discussion will
be held on Memorial Day program plans along with membership and service work.
