WYOMING -- A West Pittston man involved in a car accident Friday will be
charged with driving under the influence and several other traffic violations
after an accident, police said Saturday. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Police said charges will be filed against John M. Distasio, 39, with
District Justice Carmen Maffei of West Pittston. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Distasio was driving a vehicle south on Wyoming Avenue and crossed over the
center line, and into the path of a 1997 Dodge truck driven by Peter Sabulski,
31, of Wilkes-Barre, police said. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The accident occurred about 8 p.m. Friday south of the Midway Shopping
Center. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Erin Yurish, a passenger in Sabulski's vehicle, injured her head and knee.
Yurish was treated at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains
Township, and released. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The police report did not specify whether Sabulski or Distasio were
injured. A call to the Wyoming police was not returned as of press time
Saturday night. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Both vehicles were towed from the scene. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
