The Traffic Club of Northeastern Pennsylvania, Inc. will hold its monthly

Misericordia purchased the Payne Printery building on Lake Street, Dallas, for
$345,000, according to the Mericle Commercial Real Estate Group. The printery
consolidated its operations into a plant on Route 415. The College will use
the 20,000-square-foot building for offices. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Wilkes University's Small Business Development Center will hold a series of

Wednesday, Feb. 19 at Tobyhanna Army Depot on "Environmentally Sustainable

 The Economic Development Council of Northeastern Pennsylvania, Gallagher &amp;
Gallagher Inc., GPU Energy, the National Institute for Environmental Renewal
and the Pennsylvania Power &amp; Light Co. are co-sponsors. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The regional program is linked to the national town meeting set up to allow
people from across the country to discuss problems and share examples of
successful environmentally sustainable energy initiatives in rural and urban
areas. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The program will include presentations and panel discussions in the
morning, a luncheon and the national teleconference in the afternoon. The
panel discussions planned are: energy conservation and renewable energy
sources, space conditioning and transportation. The program begins at 9 a.m.
and the teleconference scheduled for 2 p.m. Energy and environmental displays
and exhibits will be available throughout the day. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Reservations for the meeting and program are limited to 140. The fee is $15

 In a newly declassified document, a U.S. investigator contended Switzerland
accepted 100 tons of gold looted by Nazis invaders from Belgium's national
treasury. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 According to the memo, written shortly after World War II ended, the Swiss
agreed to hold the gold for the Nazis despite a warning by the Allies to
neutral countries not to accept such loot and after neutral Sweden refused it. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 "How can the Swiss claim they acted in good faith when this gold was
acquired at the time they knew that it had been refused for those very reasons
by the Swedes?" said the memo, released Thursday by Sen. Alfonse D'Amato,
R-N.Y. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 "If the Swiss accepted the 100 tons of gold offered them by the Germans in
1943 which was worth $123,000,000, how can it be conceded to the Swiss that
they acted in good faith?" &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The secret memorandum, dated Feb. 1, 1946, was in a report from Donald
Heath, director of political affairs for the U.S. military government in
postwar Germany. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 There was no immediate response to the new document from officials in
Switzerland. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
