FORTY FORT Council OKs purchase of seven police radios &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Council voted 5-2 to spend $3,626 for seven 32-channel portable police
radiosMayor Robert Megatulski said the police department is in desperate need
of the new radios because the current ones are obsolete. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; "I know we need the radios, but I didn't see it in the budget," council
Vice President Dean Brown said in opposition. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Council also approved the hiring of Paula Lucas as the new borough
administrative assistant at an annual salary of $12,480. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Council also accepted the bid of Mellon Bank for this year's tax
anticipation loan. The bid is for $250,000 for six months at 4.03 percent
interest. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
