Government must make adjustments if the dairy farmer is to survive &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 What ever happened to an honest day's pay for an honest day's work? &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Our government should be a member of the old school where this still
appliesRising costs for the dairy farmer should be a factor when the milk
board arrives at a price for their product. The cost of feed increases as well
as the cost to run a profitable operation. The requirements from federal
agencies also add to the many costs farming incurs. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 It seems that the only thing that does not increase is the fair market
price for the product. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 If a farmer cannot operate with a positive profit margin, then the economy
suffers. You cannot spend what you do not make. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 If the farmer cannot get a fair return on his investment, maybe there
should not be any government sanctions on the price of milk. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 This free market would allow farmers to set their own prices, thus creating
competition. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 It becomes obvious that if the farmer does not make money, then he cannot
purchase or even upgrade his machinery -- not to mention meet EPA standards. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 When the federal government sets the Consumer Price Index and makes
adjustments for the cost of living, why can't they simply adjust milk prices
to reflect the costs of doing business for the farmers, too? &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 When will federal agencies realize that providing for their own
self-interest does not drive social interest, but fuels discontent? &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
