Ambrose Laskowski February 12, 1997 Ambrose J. Laskowski, 70, formerly of &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Scranton, died Wednesday at the Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston,
N.JBorn in Scranton, he was the son of the late Casimir and Wanda Wrocinski
Laskowski. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; He attended Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mary and Scranton Technical high
schools. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He served in the U.S. Army in Germany during World War II. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Prior to his retirement in 1994, he was employed as a building supervisor
by Sweeda International, Pine Brook, N.J., for 42 years. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He lived in Roseland, N.J., for the past 38 years. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was a member of VFW Post 2619 and Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament
Church, both in Roseland. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was preceded in death by a sister, Victoria Yazinski. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving are his wife of 46 years, the former Catherine Silchack; a son,
John A., New Jersey; sisters, Jean Sysko, Parsippany, N.J.; Casmira Myack,
Clifton, N.J.; brothers, Casimir, Charlotte N.C.; Andrew, Scranton; Joseph,
Rohnert Park, Calif.; Stanley, Moosic; a grandson; and several nieces and
nephews. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Funeral services were held Saturday with a Mass of Christian Burial in Our
Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
