Lackawanna Trail baseball team to rely on senior leadership

DALLAS &#8212; Active Adult Centers sponsored by the Area Agency on Aging for Luzerne and Wyoming Counties offer hot noon meals Monday through Friday to people 60 years of age or older. For participants age 60+ a $2.00 meal donation is gratefully accepted. The monies are needed in order to expand this program.The following is the menu for the week of April 20:MONDAY: Crispy baked fish, steamed broccoli, scalloped potatoes, melba toast, chocolate cake, margarine, milk and coffee.TUESDAY: Yankee pot roast with mixed vegetables, cream of broccoli soup, noodles, sliced apples, margarine, milk and coffee.WEDNESDAY: Stuffed cabbage rolls, boiled new potatoes, lentil soup, Rice Krispie treat, margarine, milk and coffee.THURSDAY: Chicken and sausage bake, steamed spinach, whole wheat bread, brown rice, tropical fruit, margarine, milk and coffee.FRIDAY: Cheeseburger, beets, oven-roasted potatoes, whole wheat hamburger roll, mayonnaise, mustard, grapes and apricots, margarine, milk and coffee.
