DALLAS TWP. &#8211; Misericordia University is hosting the exhibition &ldquo;The Fine Print&rdquo; in the Pauly Friedman Art Gallery until March 14. This exhibition highlights the experimental styles of contemporary African American printmakers. Curated in partnership with Curlee Raven Holton of Raven Fine Art Editions in Easton, Pennsylvania, the exhibition features twenty-three artists, including Benny Andrews, Robert Blackburn, Elizabeth Catlett, David C. Driskell, and Faith Ringgold.
				The Gallery is hosting various virtual events showcasing 29 works that capture excellence and innovation in American Art throughout the exhibit in conjunction with Misericordia University&rsquo;s celebrations of Black History Month and Women&rsquo;s History Month.
				On Tuesday, February 23, at 7:00 p.m., artists from the exhibition will participate in a Virtual Artists Studio Tour. In this live conversation, audiences will have a chance to chat with the artists about their works and about collecting works by African American artists. Feedback and questions asked during the virtual event will be considered as the Gallery chooses one of the exhibition&rsquo;s works to be added to the University&rsquo;s permanent collection. 				On Friday, March 5, at 7:00 p.m., the Gallery will present a virtual table reading of &ldquo;A Raisin in the Sun&rdquo; by Lorraine Hansberry. Hansberry was the first African American woman playwright to have her work performed on Broadway in 1959. The 2014 Broadway revival of &ldquo;A Raisin in the Sun&rdquo; won three Tony awards. All are welcome to view this performance via Zoom at tinyurl.com/MURaisin. The cast will feature local students and community actors. Dr. Richard Hancuff of Misericordia University will present a brief introduction to Racial Equity in Housing. This event is being held in partnership with Misericordia University Players and Gaslight Theatre of Wilkes Barre.
