NESCOPECK- Three new faces and an incumbent will take their places at the
Nescopeck council table come the new season. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Timothy Honeywell and Diana Seeley, both write-in candidates during the
primaries, will join incumbent William Waltman, who defeated Theodore Schultz,
for four-year terms on the borough's council. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Melanie Bove defeated Republican Mark P. Lundberg for a two-year term on
the council. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Seeley received most votes- 209. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The newly elected council members have a list of items on their agenda. A
long-standing debate in the borough has been whether to join into Berwick's
sewage system or build one. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The council has been against joining the Berwick system, Mayor Tim Kelchner
said. "They are going to have to decide whether they want to continue spending
money fighting the joining of Berwick's sewage system or spend the money on
other things the borough needs." &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 New members are also talking about making the part-time police department
full-time. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The mayor's seat on council was decided during the primaries in May.
Incumbent Mayor Tim Kelchner lost to uncontested candidate Newton E. Boone. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

 Luzerne County votes decide Berwick race &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 BERWICK- Luzerne County voters helped contractor Wayne Strausser win a
close race for the Berwick Area School Board on Tuesday, unofficial election
results show. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Strausser, a former School Board member, was the low vote-getter in
Columbia County among the five candidates vying for four open board seats. He
received 1,466 votes and trailed newcomer Gary Bowman by 48 votes. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 But when votes in the School District's Luzerne County precincts were added
in, Strausser received 2,586 votes to Bowman's 2,499, board President Lew
Dellegrotti said Wednesday. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Trinell S. Bull led the field with 3,293 votes, Dellegrotti said. She was
followed by David R. Campbell, 3,097; and Dellegrotti, 2,621. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Dellegrotti said he went to bed without knowing the outcome of the
Strausser-Bowman race because election workers in several Luzerne County
precincts failed to post results after the polls closed. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 "In Columbia County, they were all posted by 8:45 p.m.," he said. "As of
midnight, Luzerne County's were not posted." &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Incumbent defeated at Northwest Area &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Incumbent Val Roman failed in her bid for re-election as voters elected
four Northwest Area School Board members Tuesday. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Political newcomer Pete Grella was the high vote-getter, followed by board
President Nancy Pierontoni, according to unofficial returns. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Former School Board member Walter Walker, a write-in candidate, finished
last with 363 votes. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
