Jane Loftus &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 December 25, 1997 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Jane Mauree Loftus, formerly of Elizabeth Street, Pittston, died Thursday
at the Rhode Island Hospital, Rhode Island, where she was living with her
nieceBorn in Pittston, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Mangan
Cosgrove. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She graduated from St. John the Evangelist High School, Pittston, and was a
member of its parish. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Before retiring, she was employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Public
Assistance. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was also a member of the St. John's Womens Auxiliary and the
Professional Womens Society of Pittston. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was preceded in death by brothers, John, Joseph and Patrick Francis. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving are a sister, Grace Loftus Cosgrove, Pittston; several nieces and
nephews. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday from the Donnelly-Callahan
Funeral Home, 802 Susquehanna Ave., West Pittston, with a Mass of Christian
Burial at 10 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church, Pittston. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Interment will at the parish cemetery. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
