 January 1, 1998 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Shirley B. Burnett Richardson Scott of Dunwoody Village, Newtown Square, &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 formerly of Havertown, died Thursday at Dunwoody VillageBorn in
Springfield, Mass., she was daughter of the late James J. Burnett and Ethel M.
Blake Burnett. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was educated in Binghamton, N.Y., and Syracuse University, where she
received her degree in speech and language. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was a teacher at IBM, teaching systems to personnel in Endicott, N.Y.,
Baltimore, and Washington, D.C. She was also a speech and language therapist
in Havertown. Her last job was in marketing research at King of Prussia Mall
or 10 years. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was a former member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Havertown;
the Union Methodist Church in Havertown; Grace Episcopal Church, Kingston,
N.Y.; and Church of the Redeemer in Bryn Mawr. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and the National Speech
Society. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 For several years, she was the leading fund-raiser for the Alzheimer's
Association in Philadelphia. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank J. Richardson, who
grew up in Forty Fort. They were married for 27 years. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving are her husband of 17 years, the Rev. Lyle E. Scott, rector at
Grace Episcopal Church; sons the Rev. Dr. Frank J. Jr., Baltimore; James L.,
Oregon; two grandchildren; a sister, Ruth B. M
