Elizabeth Richards &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 January 17, 1998 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Elizabeth Richards, 89, of Park Towers, Nanticoke, and formerly of South &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Hanover Street, Nanticoke, died Saturday at the Mercy Hospital,
Wilkes-Barre, &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 where she was a patient for three daysBorn in Wanamie, Newport Township,
Oct. 23, 1908, she was the daughter of the late David and Elizabeth Donaldson
Blackburn. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She lived at Park Towers for four years before entering West Side Personal
Care Center, Plymouth, two years ago. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She previously lived on South Hanover Street, Nanticoke, for many years. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She graduated from the former Newport Township High School in 1926 and the
former Bloomsburg Normal School in 1928. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She taught at the former Dorrance School for one year in the late 1920s. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was a member of Bethel Congregational United Church of Christ,
Nanticoke. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Richards, in 1943;
brothers Charles, Robert, William and Dave Blackburn; sisters Louise Hangs,
Grace Kelly and Nellie Marshall. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving are several nieces and nephews, including Donald Blackburn,
Wilkes-Barre and Mrs. Frank (Gail) Zimnock, Wanamie, Newport Township. &nbsp;&nbsp;&amp;nbs
