Dallas High PTSA meet Jan. 28 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The Parent Student Teacher Association (PTSA) of Dallas Senior High School
will conduct its first winter meeting at 7 p.m., Jan. 28. The spring PTSA &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; agenda and Career Day planning will be discussed. Deb Kopeck of Sallie Mae
will present ``Paying for College.'' All parents of high school students are

 Area eighth and ninth grade students are encouraged to register for Wyoming
Seminary's Trustee Achievement Scholarship Exam which will be held on Feb. 7
at the school's Kingston campus. Registration will be held at 8:30 a.m. and
the test will begin at 9 a.m. Following the exam, School President H. Jeremy
Packard will host a luncheon for students and parents. Students entering ninth
or 10th grade who are not currently enrolled are eligible for the scholarship
program. Pre-registration is required. For more information, contact the

 Make-A-Wish plans annual ball &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Make-A-Wish Foundation of Northeastern Pennsylvania, 480 Scott St.,
Wilkes-Barre, will sponsor its annual Crystal Ball on Jan. 31 at the Highlands
at Newberry Estates, Dallas. Entertainment will be provided by Hollywood from
8 p.m. to midnight. The mid-winter social is being chaired by WBRE-TV, Channel
28 news anchor Dawn Timmeney assisted by Jane Nakkache, member of the
Make-A-Wish board of directors. This year's feature speaker is Michael Bellas
