Scranton-area teams set temporary plan &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The Lackawanna Interscholastic Athletic Association announced its decision
to realign for the two years leading up to the formation of the Northeastern &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Pennsylvania Football Conference in 2000After voting, 17-2, to join
District 2's new "super" conference, the LIAA came up with a four-division
setup for 1998 and 1999, thus ending the traditional Big 11 and Suburban
Conference setup. Each group will include five teams. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The Wyoming Valley Conference recently voted, 12-4, to join the
Northeastern Pennsylvania Football Conference. The only changes to the WVC for
the 1998 and 1999 seasons allow Bishop Hoban to drop Division II powers Dallas
and Wyoming Area from its schedule. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The LIAA's Group A consists of Abington Heights, North Pocono, Scranton,
Valley View and West Scranton. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Honesdale, Riverside, Scranton Prep, Wallenpaupack and Western Wayne are
the Group B teams. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Group C teams are Carbondale, Dunmore, Lakeland, Mid-Valley and Montrose.
Bishop O'Hara, Delaware Valley, Lackawanna Trail, Old Forge and Susquehanna
are the Group D clubs. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Special provisions were made for Delaware Valley, which won only one game
in six years in the Suburban Conference. Delaware Valley, a Class AAA team,
will play all of its Group D foes as well as the four Class A teams. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Western Wayne, the smallest AAA school, will play all of its Group B foes,
as well
