 January 23, 1998 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Betty Lou Katarsky, 50, of Brader Drive, Parsons Manor section
Wilkes-Barre, &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 died Friday at Wilkes-Barre General HospitalBorn May 3, 1947, in
Wilkes-Barre, she was daughter of Alice Seymour Ball of Parsons and the late
William J. Ball. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was a 1965 graduate of Coughlin High School and a resident of the area
most of her life. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was employed in banking as a sales assistant in the commercial banking
department of First Union National Bank, Wilkes-Barre. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was a member of Parsons Primitive Methodist Church where she served as
a primary Sunday School teacher, financial church secretary and communion
steward; she was also a member of the Trustee Board and membership and
nominating committees. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She and her husband, Robert J. Katarsky, would have celebrated their 25th
wedding anniversary on April 7. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving, in addition to her mother and her husband, are a son, Robert J.
Katarsky Jr., Bridgeport, Conn.; a daughter, Heather Lynn Katarsky, at home. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday from the E. Blake Collins
Funeral Home, 159 George Ave., Wilkes-Barre, with Rev. Dr. K. Gene Carroll,
pastor
