 NANTICOKE &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Catholic Daughters to hold raffle drawing &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Catholic Daughters Infant Jesus of Prague Court 1326 will gather at 1:30
p.mFeb. 1 at St. Stanislaus Church, Nanticoke. The CDA fund-raiser raffle
winners will be chosen. New members age 18 and older are welcome. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Local Court 1326 is sponsoring a contest in an effort to reach out to the
youth in the community. Information is posted at Mill Memorial Library and
Pope John Paul II School. All entries must be postmarked no later than March
1. First place winning entry in each division of the Local Court Level will be
forwarded to the CDA State Chairman of Education. First entries of State will
be sent to National. Awards on the national level are: $100, first place; $50,
second and $25, third. Awards will be mailed during the month of August 1998
for presentation to the winners. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

 St. Casimir's plans baked ham dinner &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 St. Casimir's Church, Pittston, will hold a meeting to plan the upcoming
baked ham dinner scheduled March 15. The session will be held at 7 p.m. Feb. 9
in St. Casimir's Church Hall. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Co-chairpersons are Dorothy Banos, Marie Lauck and Helen and Jack Piragus. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

Respect For Life Prayer Breakfast at 9 a.m. Jan. 31 at Genetti Manor, Dickson
City. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Guest speaker will be Shari Richard, an obstetrical ultrasound expert and
educator. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
