WILKES-BARRE- A Holland Street woman who yelled obscenities at her
neighbors has been arrested on warrants for harassment and disorderly conduct,
police said. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Debbie Thurston, 42, was arrested on four summary warrants Thursday night
in front of the condemned home where she had lived, police said. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Thurston was arraigned before District Justice Andrew Barilla and sent to
the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $1,000 bail. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 District Justice Michael Collins found Thurston guilty last month of two
counts each of harassment and disorderly conduct related to neighbors'
complaints. On Dec. 11 he ordered her to pay a total of $1,514 in fines and
costs for those violations. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Thurston's preliminary hearing is scheduled before Collins at 2 p.m.
Tuesday. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 According to the four citations: &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Thurston yelled an obscenity after police left her residence after
responding to a noise complaint Sept. 2, 1997. Neighbor Anthony Brando accused
Thurston of using an expletive to describe someone's physical appearance. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The man, who lives across the street, said his family could hear her
comment from inside their home. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Brando said Thurston's behavior is an "ongoing problem" in the
neighborhood. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The next day, Brando said, Thurston was again loud and used obscenities
directed at neighbors. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Brando accused Thurston of committing acts on Aug. 28, 1997, which "served
no legitimate purpose" and "alarmed" him. The citation contained no other
details. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Neighbor Brenda Brando said Thurston yelled obscenities at her at 1:19 a.m.
July 6. The woman said Thurston's alleged behavior made her fear for her
safety. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
