 January 25, 1997 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; John V. Spera, 85, formerly of Coal Street, Plymouth, died Sunday at his
home in Cortland, N.YBorn in Plymouth, Dec. 31, 1912, he was the son of the
late John and Rose Drasejko Spera. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He lived in Plymouth for most of his life and attended Plymouth High
School. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was a member of St. Mary's Nativity Church, Plymouth. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was last employed by the State of New York as an armory guard. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He served with the U.S. Army during World War II and was stationed in
Alaska. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was preceded in death by his brothers Edward and Frank. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving are his brother, Raymond, Plymouth; sisters Agnes Spera,
Kingston; Eleanor Alaimo, Glendale, Calif
