It certainly was sad this week to learn of the death of Rosanne Stegura of &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Nanticoke. Although I did not know her well, I certainly have known her
over the years and she was always quick with a ``hi'' and a smile whenever I
saw her out and about. I am sure I join with many citizens of Nanticoke in
offering my sympathies to Rosanne's family, especially her husband and
children. She will certainly be missed* * * * &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; A blood drive is being held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the St. Francis
Parish Center, East Green Street, Nanticoke. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

 Registration for Nanticoke Little League will be held from 6-9 p.m. today
at the West Side Clubhouse at the West Side Playground. Fee for individuals is
$25, for family $40. First year players must bring their birth certificate. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

 The Greater Nanticoke Area Chorus Parent Organization will hold its regular
meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the high school chorus room. Discussion will
be the Variety Show, which will be held on Feb. 28. Judy Delaney, president,

 The Altar and Rosary Society of St. Francis of Assisi Church, Nanticoke,
will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. The next meeting of the Bereavement Group will

 The next business meeting of the Glen Lyon Hose Company will be held at 7

 The Nanticoke Democratic Committee will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the
Nanticoke American Legion. All committee people and anyone interested in
becoming a committee person are urged to attend. All committee people will
have to file a nominating petition to have their names appear on the May 19
Primary Ballot in their voting ward. Circulating petitions begin on Feb. 17
and must be filed by March 10. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

 The American Cancer Society will hold the Relay For Life this year at

 The Confraternity of Christian Mothers of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross

club moderator. Rosemary Golumb, Mary Gusher and Ann Hopiak will serve as

"unlucky" days, because, truthfully, I don't have that great of luck any other

 St. Mary's Church Holy Name Society, 1030 S. Hanover St., will hold their
Annual All-You-Can-Eat Spaghetti Dinner on Saturday, March 7 in the Parish
Center. Dinner will be served from 4-6 p.m. Takeouts will be 3-4 p.m. with
containers provided. Adults $6, children $3. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

 The Annual Haluski and Bean Soup Dinner, sponsored by the Holy Name Society
of St. Joseph's Slovak Church, East Noble St., will be held from 3:30 to 7

beprovided. Adults $5, children younger than 12 free. Tickets are available at
the church after weekend Masses, from any member of the society, and will be

Show, Monday, March 2, leaving at 8 a.m. from the library. The French theme,

Visitors are able to leave the show and re-enter free of charge. For more

friends for this trip. Dinner will be at the Quakertown Family Restaurant, at
