`Girls' take moving day into their own, capable hands &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 This week we moved our office to a new location in West Hazleton. Of
course, &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; we didn't expect it to be smooth sailing. At one point on moving day
(usually known around here as All-Girl Monday) we found ourselves at an
impasse. Our old office was just about empty except for the big stuff. But
alas, our new office was not quite ready for us either. What to do? &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 While the movers stood around with their hand trucks and pondered the
logistics of the situation, we girls took matters into our own hands. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 We went to lunch. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Never mind that it was 10:30 in the morning. We were undaunted by such a
mere technicality. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 What's important is that by the time we returned, someone else had solved
the problem. Which is how it should be. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 We're mostly settled in now. We just need a few things for the mini deck
located right outside our back door. Like a drink with an umbrella in it, lawn
chairs and a citronella candle. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 So if you call the office for me and someone tells you I just stepped out
for a moment, don't get the wrong idea. We're probably just out of
International Coffee. Either that or ice cubes. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

 If you ordered hoagies from Immanuel Christian School, remember to pick
them up between 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Tuesday. (The question is, am I going
to remember my own order?) &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

 The Nuremberg-Weston Fire Co. on Main Street in Weston will have a
bloodmobile from 1 to 6 p.m. Thursday. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The drive is sponsored by Emmanuel United Church of Christ in Nuremberg. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

 The La Leche League of Greater Hazleton will meet at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 16 in
the second floor board room of the Hazleton-St. Joseph Medical Center. The
meeting is open to all nursing mothers, their babies and expectant mothers. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The topic for discussion will be "Baby Arrives: The Family and the
Breast-Fed Baby." &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

 Faith United Church of Christ is sponsoring a "Hoagie and Blimpie Sale" on

optional. The cost is $2.50 each and orders may be placed by calling Janet Fry

 All orders must be picked up between 11 a.m. and noon on the 19th. The
proceeds benefit the Capital Fund Campaign of the church. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

King restaurant at a cost of $1 each. Each booklet contains coupons for free

 Singles Organized Alliance For Recreation (SOAR) will hold a "Mardi Gras

 The American Cancer Society has announced a free "Oral Screening" will be
held from 9 to 11 a.m. Feb. 28 in the Outpatient Dept. of the Hazleton-St.
Joseph Medical Center. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Dr. Frank Falcone will perform the exams to check for symptoms of cancer of
the mouth, tongue, throat and jaw. These may include a sore that does not
heal, areas that bleed easily, lumps or thickening that lasts longer than two
weeks and, in the later stages, difficulty in chewing, swallowing and moving
the tongue or jaw. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Appointments are required and can be made by calling the Hazleton office of
the American Cancer Society at 459-1212. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

 The next Lunch 'n Learn program at Hazleton General Hospital will be held
on Feb. 23 with pharmacist and guest speaker Joseph Caputo Jr. who will

 A buffet lunch will be served at 11:15 a.m. in the Office and Education
building at a cost of $4. The program begins at noon, followed by a
question-and-answer period. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
