NANTICOKE - Senior night was extra special for one Nanticoke Area
upperclassman Friday at Frank Chicknosky Memorial Stadium. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Ron Bruza, a four-year Trojan starter, carried the ball 18 times for 153
yards. With the yardage, he passed Mike Vnuk, a Nanticoke assistant coach, as
the No. 2 career leading rusher in Trojan history. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Bruza also scored three touchdowns to help lift Nanticoke over rival
Hanover Area, 42-14. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 If Dallas and Pittston Area are victorious today, the Trojans will be tied
with Lake-Lehman for the final District 2 Class 2A playoff spot. It will then
come down to total points scored, and Nanticoke currently holds a 279-243
advantage. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 ``Ron has started 39 of 40 games for us in the past four years,'' Trojan
coach Bill Jones said. ``He is a great runner, and it is going to be a lot
different without him next year.'' &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Nanticoke (7-2) dominated the first half, scoring on each of its three
possessions. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Bruza rushed for 66 of Nanticoke's 68 yards during its opening drive, which
lasted 2:03. The final play was his 30-yard touchdown run, giving the Trojans
a 7-0 lead. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The Hawkeyes (2-8) answered with a 6:23, 75-yard drive. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Junior quarterback Dan Nealon found a wide-open Tim Strenfel cutting across
the middle for a 13-yard touchdown that tied the score. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Nanticoke recaptured the lead on Bruza's 1-yard plunge with 6:01 left in
the opening half. The 64-yard drive, highlighted by 31 yards on the ground
from Rich Olshefski, put the Trojans ahead, 14-7. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Nanticoke regained possession on the Hawkeye 38 when Sean Toole picked off
a Nealon pass with 4:39 remaining. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Seven plays later, with less than a minute remaining in the half, Trojan
quarterback Bob Bartle hit tight end Todd Bargella for an 18-yard touchdown to
give Nanticoke a 21-7 halftime advantage. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 ``Sean Toole's interception late in the first half was big for us,'' Jones
added. ``Hanover was moving the ball in the first half, and we needed to stop
them on that drive.'' &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The Trojans maintained their momentum in the third quarter. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Olshefski extended their lead on a 21-yard touchdown run with 10:18
remaining. Toole connected with Matt Titus on a two-point conversion pass that
made it 29-7. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Bartle then added a 4-yard touchdown run with 4:35 left in the third to put
the Trojans ahead, 36-7. Bruza added another Trojans touchdown he broke free
from 40 yards to push the lead to 42-7. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Hanover senior Kris Tippins had the only other Hawkeye score, a 1-yard
touchdown run with 4:22 left in the game. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 ``We scored five rushing touchdowns, and we owe a lot of that to the great
offensive line we have,'' Jones said. ``Those guys have been tough all year. I
