As we head into the next millennium, there exist many unanswered ques
tions. It is important that we recognize the type of leadership that will be
needed. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Recently, Congressman Paul Kanjorski, D-Nanticoke, was recognized for the
third straight year as a Global Statesman by the Campaign for United Nations
Reform. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The Campaign for U.N. Reform keeps track of voting records to find out who
works to extend American values of democracy, transparency and accountability
to our ever increasingly intercennected world. Congressman Kanjorski's voting
rating was 100 percent. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 As we look into the future, we have fears and hopes for our children and
grandchildren. Will they live in a peaceful and secure world? Will our
environment remain habitable? Voting records like Congressman Kanjorski's
represent hope for the future. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 While we acknowledge and thank him, we also encourage him to continue to
find even more courage to take the initiative in being a global statesman. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
