Roses, ribs and a parade mark Newport Township woman’s 105th birthday

Newport Township resident Helen Wilkes sits on her Robert Street porch Tuesday afternoon with great-grandson Hunter Wilkes as friends, family and neighbors drove past in honor of her 105th birthday. ‘I feel great,’ Mrs. Wilkes said. ‘It’s a wonderful world when you see all of this for my birthday.’
