Jan. 26, 2001 Annaok E. (Kristula) Cebula, 94, formerly of Center Street,
Dupont, died Friday morning at the Highland Manor Nursing Home in Exeter. She
was born and raised in Dupont, daughter of the late Martin and Julia (Faron)
Kristula. She attended Dupont schools and was a member of Holy Mother of
Sorrows Polish National Catholic Church, Dupont, the Ladies Adoration Society,
and the Maria Konopnicki Society of the church, also a member of the Polish
National Union of America, Scranton. She was preceded in death by her husband,
Frank, in 1983; a daughter, Ruth Ann Costello, in 1975; and a twin son,
Martin, in 1984; also five sisters, Catherine Dworak, Julia Zaremba, Lottie
Ziobro, Mary Limongelli and Sophie Weber; also two brothers, Michael and Frank
Kristula. Surviving are a twin son, Frank, and his wife, Eleanor, with whom
she resided; also a sister, Victoria Slaida, Pittston Township; grandchildren,
Frank and Martin Cebula, Dr. Joseph and Ann Costello, Ellie Kimmel and Lorie
Johnson; also great-grandchildren, Heather, Melissa and Christopher Johnson,
Jeff and Scott Kimmel, Megan and Kayla Costello. Funeral services will be held
Monday at 9 a.m. from the Francis A. Bednarski Funeral Home, 340 Main St.,
Dupont, with Mass at 9:30 a.m. in Holy Mother of Sorrows Polish National
Catholic Church, Dupont. The Rev. Zbigniew Dawid, pastor, will officiate.
Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Dupont. Friends may call Sunday,
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Mother
of Sorrows PNCC Memorial Fund, Wyoming Avenue, Dupont, 18641. Arrangements are
